5 min Presentation Reflection

1)What would you say stood out about your presentation performance and why?
I would say the way that I had the students tell me what kind of pictures I had handed out to them. I not only told them what each type was but I also had examples handed out to them.

2) What was most challenging to do and why?
Putting the students into groups was a little hard for me. At first I didn’t really know how I was going to put everyone into groups. But then I just figured that it would be easier on everyone as well as faster to have everyone just sit with their math groups.

3) What is the difference between the literal and interpretive in your presentation?
The literal was when I told the class when photography itself became about, and when the oldest pictures of wedding photography were. The interpretive was that I explained the differences between two types of wedding photography and I also showed the student examples.

4) What will you take from this and apply to future presentations?
The way that I involved the students to interact with the actual topic and to think of what type of photography they were. I will definitely involve the students in this way during my other presentations.

Interview 1 Reflection

What is the most important thing you learned from the interview and why?
The most important thing that I learned from my interview would be that Wedding Photography allows you to be creative and try different things, rather than just having to focus on only one object.  It lets you express yourself and gives you freedom in a sense that you can take the pictures in any way that you would like to.

What I will be teaching
I will teach the class what wedding photography was when it had begun and what it is now.

Objective
The students will be learning what traditional wedding photography is and what photojournalistic wedding photography is.

Procedure
1) Introduce what my topic is
2) Tell them the history of wedding photography and what it is now
3) Explain what traditional Wedding Photography is and what photojournalistic wedding photography is.
4) Have the groups talk about how each is different

Check for Understanding
I will ask everyone if they have any questions that they want to know, or if there is anything that they were wondering about.

Resources
I will have a few pictures of both traditional and photojournalistic wedding photography pictures at each group.

Whom did you choose to interview?
I am planning on interviewing Jack Bohlka because he is the ROP photography teacher. I am currently waiting for his response in regards to the interview.

Why did you choose to interview this person?
I chose to interview Jack because he is a proffesional photographer and since my topic involves photography, I think it would be a good start with him. Another reason why I chose to interview Jack is because he is my photography teacher and I can learn many things from his class.

We've given you your first five questions. What else will you ask?
Other questions that I have in mind about asking him is how he got involved with photography, if he has any experience with wedding photography, what are the biggest challenges with photography, and what should I take into consideration when taking photography pictures.

Q: What is your topic?
A: My topic is Wedding Photography

Q: Why
A: I chose Wedding Photography as my senior topic because I love photography and I think that Weddings are an important part of people's life. So I decided to put the two things that I love into one.  Another reason why I chose Wedding Photography was because I would like to learn more about it and eventually learn how to take actuall photography at a weddng.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish by studying this topic all year?
A: I hope to accomplish lots of things though out this year. I want to know how wedding photography came about, how it has evolved to what it is today, how to take pictures at a weeding along with tips on taking the pictures, and come across and find things that I never knew about this topic.
